Ed is the founder of Reliable Controls and has over 25 years of experience in the automation and commissioning of industrial facilities. His proven methods and processes for safety, quality and efficiency are the foundation of our success and are utilized in all our projects world-wide. Ed is a highly respected figure in the industry, and his passion for development and engagement have earned him recognition from several state and local community organizations. With sustainability as a guiding principle, his main objective is to make Reliable Controls the most trusted and efficient automation and commissioning company in the world.
Nikki is a high-performance executive whose expertise has fueled considerable growth and financial stability for Reliable Controls. Since joining the team in 2005, Nikki has been responsible for the continuous improvement of our internal business and financial management systems. She spearheads our international expansions and ensures sound tax and financial planning. She is highly skilled in cultivating healthy business relationships with clients, partners, contractors and vendors. Her leadership has made Reliable Controls financially healthy and more competitive.
Al is a process-driven expert with over 50 years of experience in the metals and mining industry. Throughout his career, Al has been a key part of engineering, construction and commissioning for some of the most significant mining operations in Peru, Mexico and the United States. He joined Reliable Controls in 2007 after his retirement from Kennecott Utah Copper. He continuously assesses and provides guidance in our business and project systems. His vast experience in project, engineering, and maintenance management ensures maximum safety and quality standards are met.
Tim’s expertise in mine commissioning, ramp-up and production management is second to none. He has worked on global mega-projects for over 25 years and brings extensive knowledge of every phase of a project, from design to operations. Throughout his career, Tim has earned a reputation for transparency and effectiveness. As Vice President of Operations, he oversees all Reliable Controls projects to ensure our clients always receive the highest quality deliverables. Tim is committed to driving the development of new technologies to expand the RCC footprint and help bring industry into the new generation.
Daniel Roa is a world-class commissioning engineer and project manager with over 28 years of experience under his belt. He has held many positions within all phases of projects, and his expertise includes developing commissioning plans & procedures, personnel training, and field test preparation. He is a highly versatile performer who works well under pressure and excels at managing large and diverse teams internationally.
Fred is an exceptional Project Manager with over 25 years of international experience in heavy industry projects, primarily in mineral processing and synthetic fuels. He understands and focuses on long and short-term goals, budget control and management of change. He is a versatile performer, and highly skilled in his management of subcontractors, vendors and other personnel. Most recently, Fred has been instrumental in the successful startup of three gold processing plants.
Rochelle is passionate about making a difference in the lives of employees and customers. She is a seasoned Human Resources professional with 15+ years of experience in all areas of HR and has worked in medical manufacturing, finance, and healthcare sectors. She has a strong commitment to positive employee relations, training and development, and safety. Her responsibilities will include partnering with leadership and employees to ensure Reliable Controls continues as an employer of choice.
Alex is an analytical and fact-driven professional. He has over 16 years of experience in heavy industrial process controls. He creates efficiency tools for the execution of system integration and is known for his objective and clear-cut problem solving skills. His unique qualifications are project development, engineering, configuration, control optimization and commissioning. Alex has worked on multiple international process controls projects, managing diverse teams from concept through commissioning and startup.
Ray is an expert in programming PLC and DCS systems, HMI configuration and development, and in-field implementation of communication systems. Ray has over 18 years of experience in electrical and controls systems design with extensive skills in project management, automation, pre-operational testing, commissioning and plant start-up. He is an excellent leader and mentor and is responsible for the development of Reliable Controls Corporation’s Process Controls team. Ray’s industry experience includes Mining, Oil & Gas, Chemical Production, Food & Beverage, Pulp & Paper, Water Treatment and Power.
Manuel has over 20 years of experience in business operations, customer service, workforce development and sales management. He is responsible for all project logistics and the execution of our rigorous recruiting strategy. Mr. Villanueva continuously identifies and secures top-notch engineers from all over the world for Reliable Controls, thus his work is vital to our success. He is a proactive and engaged manager, and his talent for delivering internal and external customer care excellence help create a culture of teamwork and sense of community here at Reliable Controls.
Ron is a results-oriented executive with over 35 years experience in international project management, pre-operational testing, plant commissioning, start-up and operations. He has spent most of his career working for the world’s leading engineering companies, and his expertise is focused in the Mining, Mineral Processing, Petrochemical and Steel industries. Ron is a natural born leader who has successfully managed diverse teams in a variety of competitive, high-stakes projects. Ron has strong technical and business qualifications with a particularly impressive track record in strategic planning, project execution and production management.
In her 8 years in the industry, Lorena Beas has exhibited high motivation, reliability, and excellent organizational skills to facilitate communication and develop efficient procedures across the organization. Lorena oversees and coordinates administrative and operational functions, including administrative management, logistics coordination, and facility and technology management. She has worked on a variety of projects around the world for Reliable Controls Corporation, including projects in South America and the United States. Working independently or collaboratively, Lorena is always prepared, willing, and capable of delivering outstanding results. Technology, arts, and music are some of her interests, as well as traveling to places with beaches and good weather. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Reliable Controls works with many universities, primarily the University of Utah, in an effort to train and develop the next generation of industry experts. Reliable Controls offers internships to college students and works to educate young engineers on the benefits of working in the field.
