Create and execute a process to ensure that the installation and functionality of every piece of equipment and instrumentation in every system and sub-system meets specifications and is fit-for-purpose. Possess specific electrical, mechanical and instrumentation expertise, including experience in maintenance and operations.
Develop new industrial processes, design new processing plants and equipment, and optimize existing facilities. These processes support start-up, ramp-up, and plant performance and optimization.
Support effective project management and decision-making by gathering data, providing progress reports, developing and managing work packages, and providing analyses used for time and cost outcomes of a project.
Create and implement standards and strategies to improve efficiency and support start-up activities. Includes detail and specific programming specifications, engineering of HMI and logic blocks, system integration, programming and configuration, and FAT testing. Design, implement and optimize automation processes using modern PCS systems.
Responsible for planning, procurement and execution of a project. Provide overall leadership to maintain progress and drive task completion to reduce risk, minimize costs and maximize benefits. Act as the point of contact for any issues or occurrences within the project organization and provides all reports to key stakeholders.
Lead, organize and direct all activities of the core team throughout execution. Provide management and guidance to contractors during construction testing, Pre-Operations and Commissioning phases. Support commercial ramp-up and financial models under direction of the Project Manager. Possess expertise in mining, start-up/ramp-up procedures, systems and standards. Ability to manage teams of 40-100 during peak project execution.
Delivers detailed execution plans to achieve Construction Verification, Pre-Operations and Commissioning turnover for a project. Includes planning, organizing, directing and controlling work activities of all technicians, commissioning engineers, vendors and laborers.
Support project management functions. Oversee and perform administrative duties, including but not limited to: vendor coordination, contractor communications, appointment setting, ordering supplies, managing test equipment, document controls, tracking of work packages, conducting site visits and preparing status reports.
