Engineering & System Integration - Mining.

Reliable Controls performed engineering and system integration for a water supply and distribution system at a large-scale mining facility located in Mexico.

This work was based on an assessment previously done by Reliable Controls and addressed several issues identified in the assessment. Reliable Controls performed detailed engineering of the control system, developed the interlock matrix, prepared an accurate I/O listing and developed the control narratives and detail motor control & interconnect drawings for each well pump. We developed the programming standards and systems integration to correct deficiencies in the way communications and I/O were handled, as well as other items including interlock and permissives programming. Standards development included programming templates for equipment controls, I/O handling, and communications; configuration standards for each piece of equipment; visualization and alarming standards; and development of HMI process graphics. RCC also provided subject matter experts to support the HAZOP process, and a comprehensive Site Acceptance Test (SAT) execution plan. The SAT was successfully completed, documented and transmitted to the client.
